Vabase very unprofessional

Just thought id post up my latest experience with Vabase,
I signed up for it a year ago, used it a couple times & haven’t used it since, i received an email stating that vabase was due for renewal and if i wanted to i needed to pay by the set out date, i did not want to so i did not pay, however paypal paid it automatically, i noticed this on the day the payment went out, i emailed vabase support email with no response, i emailed the address paypal had for them, no response, i messaged Myles directly on discord, no response, 10 days went by so i posted the situation on vabase discord publicly, i got a response of, “You wont get help here, email support” and they deleted my posts, so i posted that response on vabase discord, Myles then responded with “ive been busy and read our terms & conditions” which i had a look at and it states no refunds ever, which i thought the whole situation was obvious that i had made a mistake, and i dont agree with no refund, i had made it clear to cancel my products from them so i dont see why he cannot offer a refund, So, i lodged a formal dispute with paypal and we will see how this all plays out,

As a professional manager i deal with customer complaints, and to me for a start to not even set up an automated response on your emails stating your busy so that your customers dont think your just ignoring them is very very unprofessional in itself, it is his company so he can do what he likes but if looking after his customers is important, i fail to see it.

Be aware, if you use Vabase, if you need help you probably wont get it. and the fact that you pay them does not mean anything to them.

I’ll be curious as to what PayPal says / can do.

From what you wrote, VaBase did not fail to deliver on anything, you simply forgot to cancel the automatic renewal (happens to the best of us).

I don’t think vabase is obligated to refund anything, and they are quite clear in their T&C’s they don’t and will not offer refunds.

Obviously there is the other side of the coin, being the what’s right, good customer service, etc…

Let us know how it plays out.

Disclaimer, up until now I had never even heard of vabase so my comments are unbiased.

Yea i would agree under normal circumstances they are not obligated to refund anything however, what got my back up about the whole thing was the original email stating if you would like to renew this service please pay by this set date. It did not mention hey this is automatic it will be paid on this date if you do nothing. It had been a year since i last used it, if id known it was automatic i would have stopped it, plenty of my annual subscriptions send the yearly message “hey this renews on this date, you don’t need to do anything” because its automatic. My issue is the email was misleading, it gave the impression if i did nothing it would be cancelled. But i will see what happens, i wont hold my breath tho.
