Vanishing mouse cursor and all keys non-functional after latest update

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this mind-numbingly irritating problem?

My mouse cursor vanishes from the game. Also ALL keys are rendered useless. Its like the game does not even know a keyboard is attached to the PC.

So the ESC, view hotkeys on the numpad, external view, CTRL+number views for the cockpit - nothing works.

The game runs smoothly , in fact its running rock solid stable - yet I have to terminate the entire application because I cannot do anything.

For example if I’m in a left wingview mode and the mouse cursor vanished I’m stuck looking at the left wing. I cant get back to the flightdeck. No keys work. I cannot get back to the menu. Nothing. So I have to close MSFS totally.

This has just RUINED an hour long A320 flight. 35 mins into the flight I pressed numpad 4 to look at the left wing…and I was stuck there. Had to close MSFS.

Anyone got some advice? Pressing ESC and Scroll Lock has no effect. Thanks for any tips.

If you have a 2 monitor set up with the 2nd monitor in extended mode this is unfortunately the way it works. You have to click on the screen that is running the sim to bring focus back and the keys will work. It’s a Windows thing, not the sim…

This is the puzzle!

I’ve been using 2 monitors since I bought MSFS without any of these problems. None at all. Its only appeared after the latest update.

The maddening thing is - the game runs so smooth but I cant do a thing with it. One minute I’m checking out views the next the view camera just freezes and thats it. Game over. In fact the only way out is to kill MSFS via the Task Manager.

The lack of responses means this is not a common issue so I guess I have a lot of trouble shooting ahead of me.
