VelocityOne Flight, setting thrust ground idle/reverse for Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX (and others)

I’m trying to set my Turtle Beach VelocityOne Fllight yoke/quad to set the throttle position of the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX to Ground Idle, Reverse, and back to ground idle using the detent on Lever 1.

This is what has worked so far:

Quad

  • Throttle 1 Decrease: Button 11 (Lever 1 detent), input repetition, on press
  • Throttle 1 Increase: Button 11 (Lever 1 detent), input repetition, on release
  • Throttle 1 Cut: Button 11 (Lever 1 detent), input repetition, on release

This alone does not set the reverser. I had to add another binding to go yet another detent down. I found the Throttle Previous/Next Detent bindings.

Yoke

  • Throttle Previous Detent: Button 3 (can be any button), input repetition on press
  • Throttle Next Detent: Button 3 (can be any button), input repetition, on release

This moves the throttle lever down to the reverse position momentarily.

This setup is not perfect. For some reason the lever direction reverses after I press the lever detent and I have to press it again to fix it. Does anybody have a better setup?

I have tried a lot of different combinations - did also test the prev/next bindings but found another that I like better:

Quad:

  • Joystick Slider Y : Throttle 1 Axis
  • Joystick Button 12: Hold Throttle Reverse Thrust

Using this setup I can select what directions the throttle lever should move. When the second lever is moved down (click down/button 12) = Directs “Throttle to Beta” (down / reverse), else when pushed back up, throttle is forward thrust.

If you find other good combinations, please share
