I’ve been trying to find this one again for a while, and bookmarked it this time. I watched this one all the way through, then again with a pencil and paper to take notes! Some settings have no need to be on Ultra when there’s almost no difference between that and the lower settings. Other things have a huge impact on visuals - I’m talking to you, Clouds!
Hmmm.
Well, I guess that ‘small’ incremental changes to a setting, not unreasonably, generate ‘small’, corresponding incremental changes to that which is being rendered.
That being said. To actually see HOW subtle these changes are is, in and of itself, quite enlightening.
An interesting video, indeed.
Thanks for posting it here.
This is a must see video. It is how I tuned my preferred graphics settings a few weeks ago.
Thank you for this. It’s definitely something to take along on a flash drive when monitor shopping.
Running the video at 2x speed tends to reveal otherwise subtle differences.
Looks like several settings can be left at Low or Medium. Good to know.
I checked this out too I’ve spent a few hours tweaking settings to maximize visuals/performance – many of it is system specific changes that are viable enough to mess around with, but it’s definitely worth it. This video should definitely save a lot of time of tweaking though!
