I have been waiting weeks for Cape Town from ORBX to arrive to the marketplace, and in the meantime they have released an Iceland mesh and now Dubai scenery. The NZ mesh is still not available from May.
How long is the delay for things to arrive to the marketplace usually? I have a handful of items from the marketplace already, but with these long delays I am wondering if I should just start getting things from ORBX Direct now? Or is it worth it to wait? Why the huge delay?
Yup. In the same boat. I have s bunch of airports that I will probably uninstall the Marketplace purchased versions and just re-buy them directly because of the update lag.
I’ve read that the marketplace versions are encrypted and can’t be accessed by 3rd party nav service apps also so even more reason to just dump them and chalk that up to experience.
The marketplace is the worth plateform atm.
Products are available weeks after their release on other plateforms, such a ContrailsWebshop or OrbxDIrect, and it’s the same for their updates.
Buying those addon on OrbxDirect or ContrailsWebshop is way better, because you have the product AND upgrades day one. No need to wait, for ever.
And by the way, i doubt the free IcelandMesh will be available for free on the MS marketplace.
So go to OrbxDirect or ContrailWebshop, you’ll save time and money.
I use to try using in game store as found a pain modding but honestly, it’s so much better once use to it and got the community folder shortcut on desktop or easy to access at least to buy from JustFligt, Orbx, SimMarket etc.
The delay on updates is way to long and often makes easier to access manuals if even get a manual in marketplace version
