Very long loading times last weeks?

Not sure whats going on. Very few mods in the community folder (and not heavy mods). It takes litterarely forever to load, especially compared to earlier loading times.

My experience with long loading time. I use Addon Linker. Sceneries, landmarks, mods, aircraft, etc… well sorted in different maps. So easy via Addon Linker to select or deselect before firing up Microsoft Flightsimulator. The culpit, in my case, are for sure ā€˜landmarks’. Deactivating landmarks let my flightsim starting up as new.

I have almost nothing in my community folder, thats the interesting part. When you mention Landmarks, are you talkning about addons in the community folder, or do you mean…please explain, and I will check if thats the problem. Thank you .For me - this is kind of new, its like it was many releases ago. As a ā€œbonus infoā€ Im also getting back the memory hog problem in DX12… =/

Regularly i found interesting landmarks/sceneries via flightsim.to. Especially where i live. Belgian coast, the Netherlands, North-West France. Loading them in the community folder definitely slows down start up (read loading time) of the simulator. I presume that the more you fill the community folder the more time MSFS needs to load. That seems to me obvious.

Ok. The only similar thing I have is ā€œWe Love VFR Iā€, but thats not heavy on the loading times I guess?

I’m sure you mean figuratively, but have you tried timing how long it takes to load if you empty the Community folder? By empty, I mean rename it to something else temporarily, like ā€œCommunity1ā€, and either hand create an empty Community folder, or allow the sim to create it itself.

I’m seeing longer initial sim loading times as well, even with Community add-ones disabled. Feels like the servers aren’t responding as quickly.

Was it a bit quicker today? It felt so.

It has helped me very much in Addon Linker not to use the autostart feature for additional addons (like FSLTL, FS2Crew, Nav. Charts, perf. calculators, etc) I now start them manually, after loading Welcome screen. Saves me couple of minutes.
But loading times increased significantly for me as well since Oceania update.
