As I am learning to start from Cold & Dark, I got a question to you pros. I create my FP in simbrief an import it via the MCDU to the 32NX which works fine. But how to I ‘tell’ the ATC my IFR flight? I only get clearance for VFR instead of IFR which works but is not correct.
You need to export the flightplan from SimBrief and load it in the world map. Change starting point to a gate and set SID and STAR as necessary.
You’ll also need to set the option in the FlyPad to not import the flightplan from MSFS. Can’t remember where that is off the top of my head.
No, you don’t need to load it in the world map.
Doing so can and will change the plan, particularly so if you add a sid or star in the MSFS planner.
You do need to turn on the “Save” option in “Sync MSFS Flight Plan” in the “Sim Options” settings of the Flypad.
There is no option to “not import” the MSFS flightplan.
Moved to #third-party-addon-discussion:tools-utilities because of Simbrief use.
“SAVE” ist only available in Dev and Exp version of the FBW, right? Can’t find it in the stable.
Since a few days, with other then stable flight loading causes in not responding FS…
If you don’t load the flightplan in the world map, how does ATC recognise it’s an IFR flight?
That is the option to not import the flightplan from the world map. It must be set to ‘None’ because the flightplan is being imported from SimBrief via the MCDU. If you don’t have a flightplan in the world map - as you’re suggesting - I don’t think it has any effect anyway.
I’m using experimental but thought it was in the stable version as well. Documentation here.
That may be true, I don’t use the stable.
It is the “worst” of the versions.
It is only good shortly after it is released.
I would actually recommend you try one of the others, they are significantly better.
I use the experimental, it is quite nice and any issues it “may” have are never very noticeable.
