VFX on SceneObjects (creating attachment points in blender)?

Hi all,
I’ve updated to the latest sim and sdk 0.13.0. I’ve followed the documentation on creating particle effects and have successfully created something. However, there doesn’t appear to be a way of creating an attachment point for a scenery object. I’m using Blender 2.9 to create my models and blender2msfs to export them.
I’ve read up about blender2fsx which seems to have a tool to do this, but it doesn’t seem compatible with blender 2.9. Anybody playing with this and managed to get further?
Am I right in thinking I just need to create a mesh in blender and use it’s name as the attachment point in the ScenaryObject xml?
