In a previous version (?) of MSFS, it was possible to access a full forward view, i.e. a view not obstructed by the panel, by hitting the “W” key. What is the equivalent setting in MSFS 2020? Thanks.
There isn’t one. You could try adjusting the pilot POV to reduce panel visibility and save as a Custom Camera view but the pillar would still be there.
Unfortunately not the solution but there are related wishes:
Remove Cockpit view Key
Hide cockpit panel and/or aircraft
