Virtual Head Cockpit Limits

Using TrackIR, It’s really distracting and immersion breaking that your virtual head can move through the aircraft. Most other flight sims have limits. It makes the aircraft feel “insubstantial” and actually seems to affect my ability to control or really attune myself to the game. It’s also distracting for example when landing or looking around on approach to suddenly put your head into an object like a strut or frame. I could turn my head and suddenly be looking inside the airframe. In a small cockpit like the Pitts it requires conscious effort to keep your head within the canopy.
It really gives MSFS an impression of poor quality and it’s a very important fix which needs to be implemented before more and more third party content gets made.

It is also possible to set “limits” in the Track IR profiles

Sort of. You can dial down the sensitivity in the lateral axis. But it’s not the same as having an actual limit. The limit would vary by aircraft so it’s not possible to make TIR perfectly right. Try DCS etc and you’ll see. Now combat sims do this, for realism, and to prevent cheating by looking through your airframe. But again it gives a very real feel to the sim.

I would not mind if this were added as an option, but as it works currently, I am happy because i can “stick my head out of the side window” while taxiing my tail draggers. I would not want to miss that ability.
