On Tuesday 20th July 2021, at 8pm BST (1900Z), we will host a Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) general aviation IFR flight from YPAD Adelaide International to YMML Melbourne International in Australia, following a SID, STAR, and ILS approach.
Pilots are requested to follow the published standard instrument departure (SID), and standard approach route (STAR), taking off one-after-another with generous separation. Between the SID and STAR, pilots are free to follow routes of their own design.
This is our first IFR flight with Virtual Flight Online. We realise many may not have operated the big jets (or the business jets) before, so will be seen very much as an educational, relaxed, and social flight where the more experienced can help out as much as possible.
Although take-off is scheduled for 8pm, it may be worth arriving early to setup your aircraft, and/or to help others set-up theirs. Use the streaming functionality in Discord!
