Confirmed from my side today.
The latest SU1 beta release (release 31.01.2025) broke the NAV mode in the Vision Jet G2. Did not test in old beta

HDG mode works,
NAV does not follow the flighplan, although active in FMS.
Career mode (free flight not tested)

Update:
so during the flight, after a few waypoints, I switched back and forth between HDG and NAV again.
After that, the plane recognized and followed the NAV flightplan.
Weird… but something has definitely degraded in the beta here.

Same here. NAV mode worked in the last Beta but has been inoperative since I updated yesterday. Is there a way to go back a Beta version?

Unfortunately not - only back to the retail build.

interestingly enough, i did a flight in career mode tonight where nav mode was working just fine for me. just followed the regular procedures of picking a different approach on my destination on the efb in the mission picker screen (the one before you get to the hangar where you can then still adjust fuel etc before you load into the airport). sent the plan to atc and the avionics where it arrived just fine, flew the whole plan with all modes working as expected. had no need to fiddle with hdg or nav modes to get it to work.

during setup before taxi i’ve selected the altitude of cruise at fl250 for my shortish flight, enabled FD, NAV, VNV and FLC, when lining up at the runway hit the AT button, and took off regularly. at about 2000ft i hit the AP button and it followed the flightplan without any issues here. it was agressive on the intercept as always in msfs 2024, but otherwise just fine.

this not to say there wasnt a problem for you, but just to give some additional information on what i’ve done, maybe my procedure is just different enough to not trigger the flightplan / nav issues?

Do you use Navigraph? Each time I’ve put a new Beta release on it seems to dump out the Navigraph data. On the PFD it show DPRT as the phase which never then changes. The flightplan shows the legs but all distances fuel burn etc are missing and Nav doesn’t follow the flightplan nor do the waypoints increment as you fly over them (using HDG). I think the root cause is the Navigraph data gets corrupted. By exiting MSFS then going into Navigraph Hub and removing all items, then re-installing the Navigraph items in the Navigraph Hub and restarting MSFS. Load into same airport, import same SImbrief plan all is well and follows route as expected. This may not be connected but thought I’d just put it out there.

Hi, Yea I use Navigraph but don’t import the flight plan into the EFB. Anyways the NAV mode seems to be working now so you may be right. Happy days for now at least, well apart from not seeing runways on the PFD but thats another issue.

Cheers for the help.

When I made this post it was late and hasty. I’ve actually not experienced it again, after many flights with the SF50. I’m thinking it might have something to do with the SID I had programmed. Not sure, still looking about how to replicate it. I always manually input the flight plans into the garmin.

If the SID has a MANSEQ or VECT discontinuity, the GPS cannot track it. It’s intended to be handflown until you reach the first leg that the GPS can guide on.
