I already tried that and it simply adjusts the time to the actual time for the airport I’ve selected. It doesn’t unlock the presets.

Why would I want to turn off photogrammetry? I never play the game without it, looks really bland. I never needed to turn it off previously when using my own weather presets although I was in Gamepass then and so had MP privileges, maybe that’s got something to do with it
I had a similar problem after I quit Gamepass and lost my multiplayer priviledge. While in Gamepass and the moment it expired, I was in Multiplayer Player mode (= forced real time and live weather). So after not having that Multiplayer seIection available anymore I was stuck with live weather and could not access the presets, which were greyed out.
Only by subscribing again to online access via Gamespass (luckily I got it for 1 EUR) I could toggle Multiplayer on/off, what released that blockage.

Okay so you basically need to have multiplayer privileges in order to use custom weather presets.
How utterly bizarre.
No you don’t, that isn’t what was mentioned by AirmanMarrow554.
They needed it temporarily to remove themselves from a multiplayer session.
I still can’t select presets. They are all greyed out!

All is off including MP. Everything is greyed out I cannot choose weather presets no matter what I do
And you can’t switch it ON in the screen I reposted above? It’s OFF there so it WILL be greyed out until you switch the feature(s) on.
Sorry, I just thought that if you turn it ON, even though you only want a preset, that might make all the CUSTOM etc options appear. If not, then the only seeming answer is this:
tldr; you need to turn Multiplayer ON first, then go to that weather screen, it will be alive again, then you can turn Multiplayer OFF again and it will continue to work. So yes, a bug. If you can’t use MP then you’re SOL I think. Try Zendesk?
Solution for me was that I had to activate Multiplayer WITH Xbox Live Subscription.
When trying all the steps without the subscription the weather was still greyed out.
Back on the degradation front this is an interesting insight into LOD, how it works and the way it’s been changed for the Xbox. There’s a good example at the end of the article.
Interesting that objects without multiple LOD levels just get culled when necessary.

Interesting read.
To me it looks like it has taken an awful lot of work for both the MSFS dev’s and those of the 3rd parties which is worrying as it won’t be a simple thing to undo. Can only hope that they can find a way to reduce it’s impact on the Xbox.

I was tidying a load of clips I had saved on the XBX - lots from before SU15 and it’s so disappointing looking back at just how good it was. Not a single object popping into view, object textures the same from far away to close up. Lots of static aircraft and poor weather with the PMGD 737 and not a single stutter or issue…

Just to get back to the horrible topic of the ‘memory management system’, I recently, stupidly, purchased inbuilds Leeds and discovered that airport will not render until the camera gets up close to the terminal.
Initially I thought it was a fault with developer but after numerous back and forth with inbuilds they concluded after the screen shots I’d sent and the numerous tests I’d done (installing re installing etc). It was gathered that it is to do with memory management system. Can you believe it? Warning to the wise - do not buy any addons at the present time as they will probably not render correctly.
It’s utterly disheartening that asobo have decided that they will not look into this matter and try and fix this disastrous system.

And just to rub things in further I can’t even consider getting a refund from market place for a product that doesn’t work correctly because of a faulty implemented system that the company who controls the market place installed thus making the product pretty much redundant and company policy says no refunds on products even if they don’t work correctly, just think about that for a second.
I’m not sure how they’re allowed to get away with that. Again, don’t buy from market place

I recently noticed that the terrain quality has decreased significantly. Sometimes I feel like I’m flying on an Xbox Series S. I have an excellent internet connection. I’ve tried everything: I turned EVERYTHING off! I’ve reinstalled the simulator, I’ve formatted the Xbox, but the visuals are like this. Horrible. Melting mountains, textures that appear and disappear depending on the distance. Unfortunately, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to get any satisfaction from flying in this simulator. Will these known issues be FIXED in the next SU 16?
