Thank you @Garfield9910, we have not forgotten your awesome work on the Garmin  If you still want to do more, let us know, we can add you to our Discord group where we collaborate.

This version is, to me, the best one u’ve done !!

This version of the VL-3 is beautiful. I really like the racing red color and the carbon-look. And the performance is perfect. Great work!
Thanks a lot

Thanks guys for the feedback! We’ve incorporated more factory data from JMB so yes, realism has gone up a notch (stall speed is now perfect at 44kts in MTOW landing config, and so are control surface deflections). Roll-rate is now 120 degrees per second but that is our best guess based on similar planes…we have no solid data on this from JMB yet.

And there are custom liveries! (more coming probably). We are also working on making this a standalone mod, so you get to keep Asobo’s default VL-3 while enjoying ours. You will simply see a new plane appear in your hangar selection.

Enjoy the flight and spread the word about this speedy bird. We are still hard at work…so expect more goodness on the way.

Small mod in progres, getting the standby ASI in knots (also adjusted the yellow line with the 915i mod)

@Garfield9910 but that is awesome!!

Thank you for this awesome work!! Is it possible to keep a version with the standard ASI in km/h?

Also, where could I find a POH for the 915?

Ok guys - I’ve been testing the standalone version (0.9) for around 1 hour and I’m amazed by what you’ve done !

I’ve got nearly 50 flight hours in MFS2020 and 95% of this time is with the vanilla version of the VL-3 and the 915 really feel like whole new plane.

Actually, the flight model feels way more real than the vanilla VL-3. It’s more nervous, feels heavier which add some some good challenge for landings and take-off. I just love it and won’t be flying anything else !

At max cruise speed the resistance to turn and wind sound is amazing =O

The only bug I’ve noticed is a difference between the scheme colors for speeds between the G3X (cockpit) VS external view.

Garfield, can’t wait for the knots version of the ASI to be implemanted !!!

Would have been ready to pay for this 915 version =)

Airspeed tape is fixed

Thanks @ElKebek for your encouraging words! We are really glad you are loving the VL-3 915 like we do. The bug with the speed tape has been fixed already in the latest release.

Personally I also love the wind sound it is now creating, even better if you tune down the engine volume to about 75% or so

Enjoy flying our (free) bird!

This VL3 is an absolute pleasure to fly. I’ve read forums and watched videos where they say and show that with this plane it’s very easy to make approaches way higher than the usual to get a better view over the field. I’ve yet to try that

I’ve noticed the gear produces a huge drag, which is very convenient to slow down but I’m wondering if so much drag is realistic?

Thanks! Yes according to reports from people who really flew this bird, the gear’s drag has a real impact (as do the gigantic flaps…more like speed breaks). However, we continually process feedback, so if anyone has experience in this plane and finds room for improvement…we would LOVE to make it happen!

And since you have brought up this point about the drag on the gear, we will do some more research on this. Thank you!

I’ll try asking on YouTube. I’ve seen some active French VL3 pilots!

That would be awesome!!! Seriously looking forward to feedback from more VL-3 pilots (especially the 915)

Oh by the way…that high and steep approach you speak of…it actually works in our plane. Thanks to the enormous flaps and their drag combined with the plane’s light weight, you can nose down a fair bit of degrees and maintain speed. Try it!
