Is the vnav function on the vision jet not working or an I doing something wrong? Even after engaging vpath it did not determine tod and begin a descent profile.
there’s a chance that, in the msfs 2024 version of the vision jet, VNAV just flat out doesn’t work. it wouldn’t be a first time for many features, and it won’t be the last.
however, I did find a post from someone flying the msfs 2020 version of the vision jet (which is payware and made by a different developer–and also apparently much better than the 2024 version). he was unable to get top of descent to appear until he had activated an approach, whereupon the path system was able to calculate and display top of descent.
good luck.
In the 737 MAX it doesn’t climb to the specified altitude in the FMC. I’ve found many aircraft are like this. VS and FLCH work sometimes, but VNAV does not.
I’m new new to MSFS and have been learning about the navigation systems. It appears that VNAV only sometimes works in the Vision jet. Very frustrating that i end up having to manipulate other systems to assend to preflight altitudes. However, I’m a total newby so my understanding of this system maybe wrong.
