Volocity Volocopter - Can't land on building rooftops! Sink right through the roof

Hi, I like flying the Volocity around NYC but I thought I should be able to land it on the rooftops? I have seen people say they can. When I try, I sink right into the roof as if the building is not there. Is there some setting I have wrong? I use Xbox Series X. I have all the lastest updates including all the update 10 content. Thank you.

Hmmm it’s been a while since I flew it but I definitely was able to land on buildings here in Edmonton Alberta

I have not tried NYC so either it varies depending on location or something has changed since they launched that aircraft

is collision on or off? That makes a different

I don’t find a setting called “collision.” I see one in Assistance Options, Failure and Damage called “Crash Damage.” This problem happens if Crash Damage is Enabled or Disabled. I fly right through buildings in either case.

there’s a reason for that if you think about it. Typically planes are not supposed to go through buildings. There was an incident about 20 years ago…kinda changed how we fly commercially forever.

But we’ll just say it’s so the game can keep it’s E rating…

I think this was voiced at one point or another. With proper helicopters (come to papa Jetranger…) being added in November, i suspect we’ll have modded buildings out the ying yang for people to land on until their hearts content.

Most handcrafted building does not have “hard surface” and therefore impossible to land on, all pg buildings is ready for touchdown, so nothing to do whit the volocopter.

I think pg means photogrammetry? If so, I have it turned ON however I have some packages installed that upgrades the New York City scenery and most of the buildings in Manhattan look so good, they are probably “hand crafted”? I don’t know. Like I tried landing on the roof of the MetLife building.
