I haven’t logged on in a little over a month. I loaded MSFS, simbrief from KIAD/KCLT, and when I started VPilot an “ACARS” messaged popped up saying KATL/KMCO. Can anyone help me to figure this out because I guess the controller can only see the incorrect flight plan and not the one I actually filed.
refile the new flight plan (IAD>CLT) with vatsim.
You can download a file from simbrief to import into vpilot
Yep, as Portaleath420 noted, refile the flight plan under “Flight Plan” and you should get a new ACARS,

You can also prefile a Flightplan from Simbrief on VATSIM as well.
Make sure to do this before connecting to the network so that you will get the correct ACARS
As always, you can ask the frequency for an updated IFR.
Its strange because I’ve always loaded the sim, generated a plan through Simbrief (never prefiled), and started VPilot entering the flight plan manually. ATC is automatically getting that ACARS flight plan possibly from a past flight forever ago. And even if I try to “File Flight Plan” after entering the route, ATC still says my filed route is different than the current one I put in.
did you connect to the network with the correct callsign?
It’s recommended to prefile as HamMan demonstrated, as opposed to filing through the client. the new controller software allows them to send you a PDC message with your clearance the moment you connect (whereas you used to have to sit there and wait for delivery/ground/whoever to write it out).
By ACARS do you mean you are receiving a PDC message from the controller?
I think I may have figured it out. The same callsign may have prefiled before I logged in causing that ACARS message to pop up. I logged in under another callsign and that ACARS did not pop up! Fingers crossed for future flights!
How do you enable ACARS in vPilot?
I never enabled it. I was getting an “ACARS” pop up with a flight plan whenever I logged into VPilot similar to an ATC PDC
