VR and Reverb G2 Launch

Oh boy… i think you have no idea how complex a DCS Module like the FA18C is! With all the weapon and radar systems it is way more complexer then a PMDG IMO…
And its pretty cool to fly this in VR with Hotas and Mouse

doesnt the g2 come with controllers?

Mine did, but I’ve heard people say you can order it without.
I’ve never seen it priced that way though.

Jim-Sim

In the UK, you can buy it with controllers, for around £640 and without controllers for around £100 less.

I’d rather use a mouse to flick switches and turn knobs etc. but if that can only be done with a VR controller, then I’ll need to get the controllers.

You are right – I have NO IDEA … but I guess I have something to look forward to now

Controllers come handy though when you’re not simming… (HL:A, etc…)

Nothing more relaxing on a Friday night after a long week.
Sitting in the cockpit soaring through the clouds as the warm sunset fills your cockpit… Its a virtual space.
It can be your own little personal go to space mentally when you need it and you don’t have to let anyone else in.

Ahh well now you’re just teasing!

And the much beloved L1011 … one of the ‘next generation’ airliners of my youth. Wonder when we will be able to enjoy such a venerable craft in MSFS … not a LCD in sight!

The L1011 is one hell of a machine and one hell of a climber!
Good ole brute analog driven old school tech!

Certainly is … those magnificent RB211’s with revolutionary composite blades that bankrupted Rolls-Royce, very nearly destroyed Lockheed and almost brought down the British government - what a saga that was!

Turned out nice again in the end!!

Stay tuned I have a couple more legends coming in VR.

Concorde
De Havilland Comet
Boeing 727

I got my HP Reverb G2 this week. Don’t know if new Beta’s are still added but hope VR comes out soon for MFS. Bought for sim racing and this flight sim. Looking forward to see OpenXR implementation allowing 30 fps to run in VR.

I think that they made a mistake releasing FS2020 in such an unfinished state. This will now permanently set them back and immerse them in a world of pain for years, trying to merely catch-up with other sims. I will be very happy playing DCS and Aerofly FS2 on the Reverb G2, along with many other VR titles. I have come to terms with the fact that I will just need to be patient and wait a very long time for FS2020 to catch-up. In a way it’s a good thing, as when they do catch up in a few years maybe, I will likely have a much more powerful rig to run it at its best settings and hopefully, they will have de-nerfed a lot of settings too.

Yes I had the same question. I have a newly built PC and the G1 and G2. I would love to join the beta.

Oh you lucky one’s! G2 is still below the horizon here

Well i have has my G2 for over a week now and i am unable to find anything on VR release date… I know they have started wave 2 for non WMR headsets, I also believe wave 1 WMR was started back on Oct 5th

So i have to figure WMR is done or very very close… But still i have no idea when and also can not find out anything about the release date… All i get is stuff i already know that WMR is still testing… But are they now only testing wave 2 ???

If anyone can enlighten us on what is going on please

You aren’t going to get a release date as its still in Beta under NDA.
Yes they are on Phase 2 non WMR headsets atm.
You aren’t entitled to an official progress status from Asobo and will have to wait like everyone else.

Well thank you but i think you need to calm down a bit… Oh and by the way you have told me NOTHING that i don’t already know… Thanks for wasting my time with your Nasty Reply

Much obliged!
Goodbye!

I am really disappointed. I got my G2 three weeks ago also have two other VR headsets and didn’t get into the Beta. Would have been great if MS would have said, “Hey make sure you have your headset plugged in when you run DxDiag”. @Jummivana any way for G2 users to get in at this point or do we just have to wait until VR is out to everyone?
