VR Beta - who already owns a VR Headset?

Some of us are certainly looking forward to the upcoming VR update.
I would be interested in who already owns a headset and which one.

I own an Reverb G1 / V1000 and can´t wait to get into the air with it

yes, I meant the first version of the reverb

I own the Oculus Rift.

But honestly find it painfull to fly with a VR-Headset when you have to check PDF/Tablet (approach plates, etc.), search metar, search frequencies, etc. all the time…

So maybe for simple VFR Flights ‘outside the realism scenario’

Did you sent a txt or xml? I had an error while trying to upload a txt file

Got a valve index. I have an HP reverb G2 on order. The index will then be for sale.

You must save as XML file not txt

I’m getting a headache just reading your post haha. VR is about chilling out for me.

Avitab for x-plane was excellent for this. I hope something similar appears for msfs.

In the meantime just do as much as you can before putting the headset on.

I’ve had a Rift cv1 and a Rift S, both of which I’ve now sold and pre-ordered the Reverb G2.
Here’s looking forward to November. :+1:t3:

Can’t wait to get back to VR.

Oh boy, have you been missing out till now…!

As I’m the owner of a Reverb G1, I can assure you that everything you’re looking for is possible with a cute little Steam app called “OVR Toolkit”, it’s everything you’re looking for!

You can freely place individual windows (or applications, respectively) and/or whole desktops inside VR, reposition, resize them etc. and, the best of all, hide them automatically as long as you’re not directly looking at them. I used to have (Navigraph) charts, vPilot, check-lists, flight plan etc. spread all over my cockpit. You can even interact with them (like you have to do when going through charts) via mouse.

Lately, I switched to just showing the iPad (like it was mounted on the yoke) and the vPilot window placed where the eyebrow-window of the 737 would be like, and I’m done. Flight plan, check list, charts etc. I have on my iPad and I can manipulate it either via BT mouse connected to it or with my fingers, since it’s laying in front of me.

Have I conviced you…?

I have Reverb G1, Oculus Rift CV1, PSVR, Oculus Go & Oculus Quest

@TheMacallan1605 does OVR Toolkit support OpenXR ? I guess MSFS will not use SteamVR

We need something like Avitab, avitab is so amazing !!!

I have a Reverb G1 currently gathering dust.

Hmm, I really hope that we’ll be able to use SteamVR tbh and that’s just because how amazing OVR Toolkit is IMO.

Oculus Rift CV1 and a HP Reverb G2 on pre-order.

I thoroughly enjoyed VR in X-Plane 11 before my wife stole my headset for Beat Saber… The HP Reverb G2 was my reward for “being willing to share”.

I’m looking very forward to VR in MSFS.

It would be better if OVR Toolkit releases an OpenXR version …

Having 1 less layer would be good for performance
