I’ve accidentally found that if I put the mouse pointer on the screen/area I’m trying to “magnify” then right click, the view jumps to that screen/area. Sometimes. Sometimes holding the right button whilst I view then release brings me back to where I came from. Then again sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes releasing the button doesn’t return the view for quite a long time - yes probably only seconds but it feels like a long time, and sometimes clicking on the centre (wheel) button returns the view.
So my answer is “sometimes” - have no idea how or why. Using a standard MS-compatible mouse and different aircraft.
