What on earth has gone wrong this time, was working fine earlier today, no alterations, came back to it this evening and first of all it would boot up fine but crash straight away when trying to enter VR (I see there is a recent thread on this) Several restarts later and now it doesn’t crash and will enter VR but its now doing this.
Bizarrely through the actual headset the picture is steady but all around the edge of the lenses is wobbling, a bit like a square mask is being shaken all over the place.
VR works absolutely fine with steam on various games so its definitely FS related. Please tell me this isn’t yet another 100GB+ re-install, honestly, this game demands more attention than a newly born baby.
Just to add, W10, G2, 4090 i9 13900K, 32GB DDR 5 etc. definately on DX11, no other changes have happened that I can see, no updates or anything to either windows or FS.
Well what I’ve done so far, the sim will either go mad as above or just a straight crash to desktop, no errors or anything. So I’ve uninstalled FS2020 and re-installed it, empty community, still crashes when switching to VR.
I then uninstalled and re-installed WMR - no change
I deleted the last two windows updates - no change
Then I uninstalled and re-installed XR tools (I’ve not had the toolkit for ages now) - no change.
So that’s everything reinstalled and its made no difference. I then tried it without XR tools and it worked as normal. After a bit of messing with XR tools its to do with the render resolution, if I go above 150% on the custom render scale it just crashes. I’m using DLSS Quality and Its run quite happily at 200% render scale for a while now.
What can possibly have changed to do this all of a sudden.
In Baracus’ defense, that single letter and number appears quite late in your post and it’s definitely the single most important piece of information to convey. Anyway, best of luck with your issue!
