VR implementation poor

I can absolutely say it’s butter smooth in MSFS in VR in the G2. I have a 9900K and Asus 2080 Ti at stock speeds - I use OpenXR and reprojection at 70%, in the sim it’s 90% so I do lose a bit of clarity but the graphical settings are mostly medium/high and it looks good.

When I’ve done fps tests I get frames over 22.5 fps in custom areas, mainly around 30 fps around cities and over 40 in rural areas but of course reprojection adds this up to 90. For smooth flying getting frames over 22.5 is the critical thing for OpenXR.

Artifacting is much better with the past few OpenXR updates, many planes now like the Cessna Caravan don’t have really any artifacts around the prop but I think planes like the JMB VL3 and Robin still do. It also helps if you can get above 30 fps.

I would imagine the clarity I get wouldn’t work for flying jets in and out of big custom airports and would dampen performance, but for my use case 90% of the time I’m flying GA planes out of small strips and the performance holds up very well in VR.
