Thanks. Unfortunately nothing I haven’t tried yet.
Will update after I try the new drivers!
Are you on Windows 11 if I may ask?
I’m on Windows 10, however I’m able to check on Windows 11 if needed
If that’s not too much trouble I’d love it if you could see if/how the device is recognized on 11.
I installed the other drivers and still no luck.
Thank you!
I’m on Windows 11 and it looks the same as yours in Devices and Printers
Will do ASAP
Just made an attempt on Windows 11 and get a straight forward working solution
- Installed previously mentioned FTDI driver (not the VCP one) : D2XX Drivers - FTDI
- Installed VRiSim package with unticking “Instal USB-Serial Driver” (not enabled)
- Launching VRiSim on Windows 11, where the CDU-II (CDU2) is seen

Hi everyone! I fastly ran through the topic and as I can see there are some issues with the vrinsight hardware in MSFS. I am thinking (and willing :D) to by their A320 overhead panel. Do you have any thoughts/recommendations on it? What should I purchase additionally in order to get it fully compabitable with FBW/Fenix? Thank you very much in advance… I mean, it’s quite an exensive product, but I could not find any relative info about it ![]()
I use Spad.next for my Vrinsight Airbus MCP. Spad supports the overhead panels too. You can either program all the functions yourself or download a snippet for your device internally of Spad. You won’t need any VRi drivers installed either.
Thank you for your reply!
All in all, do you consider thier hardware good enough for spending money & to use it with the msfs?,![]()
I can’t really comment on the overhead as I don’t have one. However I find their hardware acceptable for the cost outlay. The MCP’s are flexible enough to use for any aircraft. Especially with the use of Spad or Axis and ohs. Yes they work with MSFS with the caveat you need to use a third party utility to configure them. But when you do they become very flexible.
Thank you so much!
I’ll try that tomorrow and will report back.
Still no dice… I cannot get it to be found by VRiSim, even with your solution.
I’ll ask a computer engineer friend of mine to come check it out to see if he can figure out something!
I guess there’s too much parts related to VRinsight running in the background, so the COM port is probably already captured
Pay attention while checking, the FSUIPC part shouldn’t be running, nor LINDA, nor the VRinsight SerialFP2 …
Hi,
I’m happy to report that after all this time, my CDUIII finally works as advertised!
It requires the help of a computer engineer friend to work his magic, so I’m unable to tell you in detail what he did, but eventually we were able to select the correct drivers for this device that was previously not recognized and now all is well. I did a first flight with it and it really adds to the immersion.
Thanks a lot to all who contributed to solve my issue, you guys made me keep working at it until it worked.
That’s great. I’m a bit jealous :0)
Hi,
does anyone know how to tune in 8.33 kHz frequencies? Does this need an update?
B.t.w.
For those whose MPanel suddenly is no longer recognized by SerialFP2: try unplugging the device, rotate main knob clockwise and counterclockwise and plug in again. Has helped a couple of times here.
This, if someone knows how that’d be great. Just dusted it off again.
What we talking about now ? ;0)
