Sorry to hear you are having issues like this. I posted that video only because I made it in the hopes that it will help as many people as possible get set up and running with MSFS in VR. It’s not just settings - it’s the combination of tools/utilities (like OXRTK and the Oculus Debug Tool in this case) and then specific settings for each tool. My intentions here weren’t to just fly by and drop a link to a video and then say that’s the be-all-end-all answer. My goal was to let folks know that there is a small community of people who have come together to try and help each other out with issues, tweaks, settings, etc.
Specific to your case, I gave up on steamVR early on and just use the Oculus App and OpenXR which works very well together. No registry hacks - it just works. Maybe try that route? And I do understand things from the perspective of people with issues… I was that person for a long time! It took weeks of frustration… but I was lucky to find a few people that helped me out. And I finally got things running great. My hope is that we can get more people who were struggling like me to a point where VR is not only enjoyable, but it is their only way they use this sim. I won’t put the direct discord link here because I don’t want to come across as self-promoting anything… (trust me, that’s not my intent anyway, but I don’t want that perception)… but feel free to DM me here if you want the link. There are others out there like you who are struggling and we have been able to help a lot of folks get up and running over in the discord… it’s just easier there because of the direct communication, ability to quickly share screens/screenshots, etc…
Anyway, sorry if you feel like I was not understanding how frustrating this all is or if you thought I was just popping links to videos blindly. It’s hard to get context and meaning from internet forums, so I can understand your position.
