VR with Reverb G1 and 2080ti (what am I missing)

Hi guys,

Hope I can get some new information here.
This is my first post.

I have a decent PC that should run VR in an acceptable level, with i9-9900ks, 2080ti, ssd and 32g RAM. HMD is HP Reverb G1. Nvidia driver is at 457.30.

However, while I can get a decent enough clear image quality (cockpit text is somewhat readable), I CANNOT get a fluid image.

Head movement, terrain movement, is very blurry. If I move my head slightly, the cockpit gets very blurry etc.

I have followed ALL guides, YT videos etc.
nothing helps.

I have lowered OpenXR rendering to 70, tried the in-game slider at 70-100 with medium settings almost all around, nothing gets me fluid motion.

I am about to give up really… anything else I am missing?

Please share your settings if you have a similar PC if you can🙏

Thanks for taking the time to help!

Whats crazy is i have virtually the same setup as you, exept ive got.a rtx 2070, and ive.had very few issues in vr. I know thats perhaps not a helpful answer. I fly pretty much only light ga aircraft , low altitude (rarely over 3k agl and preferably half that)
Maybe aircraft/flight area choices have an effect ?

Thanks for sharing.
I am also only interested in GA low-altitude flying, with the occasional TBM longer runs…

Can you please send me screenshots of your OXR settings + Nvidia panel and in-game settings?

Thank you so much in advance!

I can try this afternoon , i just got to work

Hi, have you tried reducing all the PC (non-VR) graphics settings to their minimums?

I have a G2 and I used to find it would take a couple of minutes before things were fluid. It would be quite jerky at first but would clear after a couple of minutes or so.
Someone suggested reducing the pc graphics settings… I did & now it’s fluid from the start.
I know it’s not exactly the same thing with your G1 but it might be worth a try.
Also you might want to try the latest nVidia graphics drivers (465.89) Some are saying it has improved performance… & it’s improved mine

Regards
Steve

I have a G1 as well, and all was blurry no matter what i did - until i set Windows Mixed Reality portal settings to “best visual quality”.
