Vsync and FS2020 fps limiter vs GPU fps limiter?

What are the pros and cons here?

I had vsync on and frames limited to 30fps in the sims graphics settings, and was left scratching my head seeing a flat 20fps line in the xbox performance monitor?

I then turned off vsync and fps limiter in the game and switched to setting fps limits with Radeon Chill - which worked much better: setting it to 30fps max and the performance monitor showed a flat 30fps line while playing (also kept the GPU utilization % down while on the FS2020 menus - but that’s another well commented issue here).

My rig seems happiest somewhere between medium and high settings - currently trying to find the optimum settings and need to decide whether to stick with radeon fps limiter or fiddle again with vsync.

I have a 4k PC monitor at the moment, doesn’t have freesync.

I’m going to revive this thread because there still seems to be major issues with the in-game FPS limiter, and I’m finding that if I limit through Nvidia Control Panel I get stuttering issues.

The in-game limiter seems to work wrong for me on all settings. 60FPS appears to be uncapped, 30FPS appears to cap it around 60, and 20FPS appears to cap it around 50FPS.
