I actually don’t think the sim rate is an abuse at all.
Skipping is very different IMO.
when you use sim rate, you still have to complete the entire flight, all procedures, follow ATC etc…
you are just accelerating the portions of the flight that are not really adding anything to “your” experience.
If you really want to differentiate the people who do and don’t sim rate the flight, on top of the no skip bonus, have a minutes flown bonus where you receive 50cr (<whatever) per minute of “actual” time spent playing.
Removing sim rate option for career would kill it for me.
I’ve been flying for 45 years… I don’ t need to simulate 4 hours of flight over Saskatchewan on autopilot… Nor do I want to hand fly that route. I want to fly the Departure and Arrival and simulate the procedures in aircraft I’d never otherwise get to operate.
To each their own, but solutions should always accommodate as many play styles as possible.
Getting rid of Sim Rate would kill Career mode for many I’d presume.
