Having run the tech alpha the walk round is great; but what about 3rd part aircraft that don’t have opening doors? How will I be able to get on board? 
As far as I’m aware there won’t be a walkaround for third party aircraft until they’re updated.

This. The new bells and whistles won’t be available on 3rd party products without the developer adding them in. Even if they are baseline compatible.
For Legacy Planes (2020 Addons) use the hotkey “Shift+C” to enter or exit to first person mode.
That said, the specific walkaround-preflight procedures like removing chocks, moving ailerons, etc is indeed new features most developers will need to upgrade to get working. However, you can indeed enter and exit legacy aircraft and walkaround the world regardless. So if you are flying forwards compatible aircraft today, don’t fret, you can still walkaround
