After two flawless years, I started having constant CTD’s with no message. MSFS Support suggested several things (repair, reset, reinstall) MSFS and Windows 11, but nothing fixed it. Then they invited me to participate in SU10 Beta, and now at least I get the graphics message. My issue is that I get the message while loading the sim, so I don’t even have access to the Options pages. I don’t know what else to do.

How can I check if I have an overclock, and if yes, how can I remove it? Thanks

If you didn’t do it, you don’t have it. It’s also not your fault but MSFS, gotta wait for a fix.

same error here on 1.27.19

I really, really do not want to use this update in it’s present state. Fearful that it’ll just tank everything and render the sim unplayable.

I used the DDU driver uninstall and clean reinstallation, and

every single time. I see all that @FlyingNautiker has tried and get the same results as he does. I also had two flawless years with all the good content. I guess the only thing that is needed now is to see if Asobo finds a fix and hope they are working around the clock. I am watching closely the reviews for X-Plane 12. It would be interesting if someone that is having these same issues in MSFS, tries XP-12 to see if the there is a graphics problem or not. If not, then it is an MSFS issue. This is strange because so many of us are having this issue, but I still see most of the YouTube MSFS content creators still publishing some flight including using VATSIM.

I have done the same and had similar results.

I even uninstalled and reinstalled the sim.

It’s definitely not a user-caused issue. It’s a sim issue. And they need to fix it before release.

I also repaired, reset and uninstalled not only MSFS, but Windows 11 as well. What puzzles me is that not everyone is having these CTD issues.

Yes, for sure, I’ve seen way more opposite experience reports with this .18 version of the beta than any other.

It is concerning.

I really wish they hadn’t botched the .20 release on MS Store for PC. I’d really like to be testing it right now. It works amazing on my Xbox, but my PC has always been a very different experience (read: negative) to my Xbox and I’d like to see if this has changed at all.

Started getting this for the past couple days, couldn’t even really get into the sim because it happens in the menus. Thought reinstalling would help but it’s pretty useless as now I can’t even install the required files before getting the error. Sometimes it even pops up immediately when launching.

MSFS is useless at this moment.

Signing on to SU10Beta is a volunteer program, the purpose of which is to detect bugs and anomalies, point them out to the dev’s thru diligent reporting so that they can go about locating and fixing the problem.

A problem for some users has been detected and reported. I’m convinced Asobo is trying to figure what’s going on and the problem will be resolved in a future version of the BETA.

In the interim, perhaps little patience…or leave the BETA. All the hand-wringing and hot air in this thread serves no useful purpose.

vote this up! its Asobo, they could release it otherwise!

I agree with the sprit of your statement, but I’d argue that, at this stage of the beta given a final release is slated for next week, the beta ought to be looking, feeling and behaving like a final candidate, not a mid-beta process release.

This isn’t even a viable solution. I left the beta, uninstalled and reinstalled, the problem remains. Not sure what that’s about, maybe some files left over from the beta have remained?

I surely don’t know what the problem is, but I’m confident that it will be resolved, as have most of these clankers in the past. In SU9 I periodically got the ā€œmemory cannot be readā€ error. For me that’s gone away in SU10…I did nothing. I have only once got the ā€œgraphics deviceā€ error…I think in .17. I’m on .18 right now and it’s running great over several days, no error messages, no CTD’s. So I I’m doing OK, there’s hope on the horizon for those having serious issues.
