Asobo/MS, we need more bandwidth from your servers. I have 250 Mbps down and am getting huge blurry patches of terrain loading and extremely slow Photogrammetry loading. This is a result of the thin client architecture, so more resources from your end are needed.
I’m posting this Sunday morning (EST) the 24th. The main issue I’m having now is lack of ground textures. I’m not seeing them anywhere. Just a massive blur.
I have 1Gbps fiber service and speed tests show 800 to 900 consistently. I’m monitoring my internet traffic using Task Manager Performance screen and I’m only getting data in short bursts 95% of the time with an occasional blip at higher speeds.
Kinda strange, I see some folks that aren’t having this problem… wondering if it’s something on my end.
Only 60 second samples but gives an idea:
That’s exactly what happens to me!
I’ve been flying around this area for a little over an hour. The patch shown appeared at about the 45 minute mark.
I’m having the same issue, with an alert about “Bandwidth too low…”. Hope they fix it soon
Exactly what i observed on my pc!
agreed and what is interesting to me is that the career mode, missions and challenges, the scenery there is much more crisp and fast. its free play that is the weakest point
Interesting. I’ve only tried Free Flight so far. Will give the others a go. Thanks for the heads up.
You’re welcome. Yeah that’s been my experience on n Xbox X. Results vary but curious if others have same experience as me.
Yeah! At 600Mbs! Speed test and logs show its not here its there!
This thread on Reddit has some great info. After running through this thread, all remaining issues I had are gone!!! I had made progress up to a point but was stuck like many others and those reporting problems in this thread.
Check it out, well worth the time and effort!
Still After 6 days, this is all i see, with very good internet. I give up. : r/MSFS2024
Yesterday evening CET everything was very slow again, even in the main menu the map took a long time to load in textures and spawn points.
Microsoft, this is unacceptable. You should really have excess capacity by now to handle traffic peaks just in case. Maybe look a little less at cost effectiveness and more at user experience.
Since Sunday evening I’m facing more and more bandwith issues. Before that it was really good and saturated my 100 MBit/s. Yesterday evening I couldn’t play at all. And if I look at the SteamDB charts apparently I had a better experiene even when more players were online.
I’m suspecting the problem is not the servers alone but has something to do with ISPs too. Because I used around 110 GB since launch. That is more than any other single program on my PC in a whole month, including Steam most of the time.
This morning before going to work I flew around Lisbon. The view is catastrophic. All textures are still blurry and out of focus. The photogeometry is melting. In short, it’s a terrible view. I don’t understand why they don’t expand the server capacity.
Been noticing this a lot more the last couple of days as well even though I’m getting reasonable response rates when running the Azure Speed Test 2.0 - even using a VPN to avoid any ISP throttling. Usual first signs are very “blobby” (malformed) trees.
