Well, yes, it should undeniably have been working from day one and was brought to market really as a beta. Unfinished and with weaknesses. Having said that knowing what I know now I would still have bought the Premium Version as it has already given me many hours of fun. If i’m being honest, looking at the Youtube videos as I did, I also recognised that there would be quite a few issues which would probably not be sorted out for some time too.
I think a lot of people defend the sim and ASOBO because to a lot of us, despite obvious shortcomings system wise etc, the sim is a next gen experience, at least for me anyway, and despite better aircraft systems in X-plane 11 I could never return to that sim. Whilst FS2020 has some glaring weaknesses the alternatives for me aren’t that great and there are at least positive signs from the devs that they are committed to improving the sim.
