I was flying a few hours earlier and everything was working. Now I wanted to make a return flight and there are no clouds. Nothing was changed or added.
Yep. Same here
Last metar is 1330Z.
Yep, same here. In Bilbao. I guess it’s just your average weekly downtime. At least it wasn’t aggressive with the winds this time. Getting ridiculous how frequent this is.
how did you do ?
dont know, it just reloaded
Weather is down for me and crashed my 737 - aircraft and screens all frozen - NICE ONE
lucky you. Mine is still down.
Same here. Clouds are loading very slowly and other things like wind and barometric pressure arent working as well.
seems so too, latest metar is still from 2pm today
everyone make sure you upvote this thread at the top so it maybe gets seen by the appropriate devs
Looks like METAR is down in general across platforms.
If only MSFS didn’t rely on METAR for live weather. If only MSFS had a dynamic, truly live weather provided by a reputable weather service. Oh wait, it used to until METAR-based won the popularity contest that generated three other popular wishlist items that now want to reverse those METAR-based changes!
Great job, MSFS.
a magician came into the sky. But still the wrong wind. haha
sadly, atleast im getting some sort of kind of wind
Far worse than NO Real weather (ie Blue skies, no wind, 29.92 std temp), is totally wrong ,and impossible weather ie Winds @ 530 Knots
Just because some weather server out there on the Internet is telling your MSFS client that winds are 530 Knot (that they should be checking and not sending), , the MSFS client should also be checking that the data it is receiving, (or thinks it has received) is “Reasonable”
An oft-repeated, but incorrect trope. It doesn’t rely on METAR for clouds. It only uses METAR for temp, visibility, pressure, and surface wind within about 10 miles of the airport. Otherwise there wouldn’t be any clouds anywhere in between airports, ever. The METAR also has no effect on the clouds, as I’ve observed many times that the clouds will roll right over an airport with a stale METAR showing CLR, unaffected by it.
