It’s planned for SU5 (as per the posts and the bug log).
Just came from the other sim and fired up a night flight last night and it made me sad with the artifacts.
Has anyone tried rolling back amd drivers to earlier in the year when it worked?
It was not with a driver release that the lights broke, but instead with a change, which first showed up in a sim update beta, so I doubt anything would improve.
Oh I see, I guess i just not fly at night or wait until Asobo feel like fixing it
I switched from a 6800XT to the 9070XT and facing the same issue now. ![]()
Its a immersion killer!
Yes, me. I went back to the very first official driver released for the 9070XT: the artifacts are still there.
Thanks dude saved me from trying. I’m new to AMD came from a 3080
Same issue for me since i’ve buy this sh-it card 9070xt last month.
3700x-16GO win10 last driver and update.
-
same black artifact in any condition internal/external view
-
Lot of crash when trying set fsr3 ingame or other settings. Just interupted my flight !
-
regular freezing (not yet resolved with cancel cache or setting it = lotery winner)
Best result to play is turn off all amd setting. But cant turn off adrenash-it software.
After spending 320€ in sh-it limited edition arrived 3 months after launch. Spending 1050€ in material graphic card and screen included.
Ive roblox flight simulator … i fell i’m a wallet for AI company who not answer theyr community since 6 MONTHS !!!
Good luck guys
Well, the GPU it’s not that bad. And you can install the drivers without the Adrenalin software.
And your 3700x could be a bottleneck for the FS2024.
Good evening guys,
Quick question: do you also have this same issue with the 9070XT (same GPU as mine)?
Especially on airliners and large airports, there’s a drop in available VRAM and therefore major FPS losses.
The only similar post I found was on another forum, and the person also had a 9070XT.
If you are referring to the VRAM counters in dev tools, yes I have seen that behavior before but I disregard them as being inaccurate. While they show the total VRAM as being low at times, Adrenaline reports the usage and the total accurately.
This whole voting system for determining what bugs get fixed is terrible. I guarantee most users don’t even know this system exists. The top issues only have a few thousand votes, but this game has sold millions and millions of copies. It’s a tiny self-selecting audience making these reports and a hugely flawed way for them to determine what’s worth fixing. It should at the very least be integrated into the actual game UI to make sure that it’s presented to a broader cross section of users.
Hello Could there be a patch for the graphical artifacts for night time its still there and this issue has not been fixed for months for us Amd users! if you can reply to this and let me know if a fix is possible we have 265 votes on it already a patch would be awesome! it is for the 9000 Series GPUS
This has been announced as planned for Sim Update 5, which I would expect to see sometime in Q1 of 2026.
hoping that is the case
Yes, it’s related to the VRAM counters in the developer tool. However, I notice a huge drop in performance when my amount of used VRAM gets close to the available VRAM. At the same airport, I go from 60 fps to barely 20 fps just because of that. I also get the ‘graphics queue’ line turning completely purple, which makes the game unplayable.
Have you tried disabling ReBar? Some users, including myself, report less VRAM usage when ReBar is disabled and better performance. Something to consider.
Also disabling HAGS helps a bit as well.
I’ll try to take a look at that, thanks !!
