Weird looking snow patches at airports

The last couple of flights, I’ve seen very unrealistic looking snow patches at some airports. First time I saw this was at ESKS from Orbx. Then, I thought it was an issue specific for that airport but earlier today, I noticed the same issue at ENGM from Aerosoft.

So clearly this isn’t tied to a specific airport. Question is if this is a general MSFS2020 issue or if it indicates I have some corrupt files on my end.

Here’s an example what it looked like at ESKS the other day

Interesting I haven’t received one single response yet though, am I the only one seeing this?

Are you using DX11 or 12?

Running DX12 and just learned after finding a post about the same issue over in another forum how DX12 apparently is the culprit.

Sadly since I prefer running DX12 over DX11. Good thing spring is around the corner and all snow will be gone in a couple of weeks
