I repeated the procedure as described by TenPatrol and this time it worked.
I checked that the registry entries were cleared, gaming services was removed, reinstalled gaming services, rebooted and I now have a later version of gaming services.
The problem is now resolved.
The only difference that I can see is that gaming services was updated after the first time I used TenPatrol’s procedure. I actually observed Windows Store updating it.
Since 3 days ago every time I try to load MSFS, then I get this xbox notification, and when I select next it can happens that the simulator doesn’t load and instead get frost. I just cheked it and both my xbox applications is updated and correct signed so app store also. Any idea why? Suggestions?
It will be helpful if you could provide more details. It would be a good idea to check that gaming services is working correctly. Before reinstalling MSFS, I suggest repeating the procedure described by TenPatrol making sure that it is followed exactly.
I have the same thing after the xbox insider hub pc gaming update, now when lauching the sim i need to click 2 times for sign in after launching the sim to get into the hanger main menu,
I have to install ( 24 hours Fr till Saturday) MSFS after I have done this all what was mentioned above. After the new Installation it worked again, but with the same pop-up Windows.
SATURDAY eve Start of MSFS and no thing was starting, all was gone, so complet removed and a New installation again, with a other app. 24 hours.
OK, MSFS is running now again, but the problem with the windows is not solved, the windows Pop up twice at the start procidure.
Nö idea what to do
It seems to be OK on my side, although two things may have trigger the solution :
All my MSFS settings were reset (assistance, graphics, control) 24 hours before the SU14 Beta update get released. The annoying “Welcome Back” messages then disappeared. NB: this system is still with the non-Beta/Regular public MSFS 1.34.16.0.
Later, I received a Gaming Service update version 16.82.27002.0 (and not your 16.82.27992.0) via the regular Microsoft Store.
Let’s wait for other feedback and wait some days before concluding problem is over.
I have the pop ups for almost 2 weeks so prior to the SU14.
I have downloaded the Sim Update 14 Beta but given the drawbacks like animation broken for FSLTL and other things I went back to SU13 by leaving the group under Xbox Insider Hub.
My Windows 11 Pro was not updated to 23H2. Done by now but no difference still this ■■■■■■■ pop ups which appears one day with no reason.
One question : I bought FS for MS Store but I am an Xbox user two and on PC FS is installed under C:\XboxGames\Microsoft Flight Simulator
It’s where MSFS is installed by default now for few months as years ago it was somewhere else where users have less “control”. What is the relation with this thread?
Like most of us. It’s the kind of launcher part of MSFS. “Xbox” is the roughly generic name for the game portfolio of Microsoft. So by using MSFS you’re have a Xbox game And via the Xbox you can manage where is this launcher part installed.
