Well Im Out

After the last update I got one flight in and then the game would crash right after I would load onto the runway. Tried verifying the game files through Steam and it deleted all of the airplanes in the game AGAIN (this already happened before). So I start to download the files again and the down load gets stuck EVERY time. Tried all of the fixes the internet and forums have suggested and still nothing works.

Great community great game when it works. I loved flying with my nephew to various places around the world but this is now a unworkable mess of software.

I think this type of release is just acceptable these days. I waited for the sale this weekend on Project Cars 3. Tried to play it and it crashed 4 times in n a row. There is no pride in releasing a stable working game anymore like when it came out on CD.

If you listen to Asobo’s twitch feeds they are actively working on this thing. Obviously if it won’t even work nothing really matters. I think we all know we’re maybe a year away from a stable working sim but as long as they have funding I think it will get better.

I am getting lots of CTDs as well. Sucks.

This has been mentioned many times before, to not verify your Steam install.

Not sure if you’re wanting any response or if you’ve indeed gone, but this may help others.

There have been several threads warning against validating files in Steam versions. It wipes your sim files. Steam should warn against this.

I had a day or two of the Sim crashing to windows desktop after the 4th patch, I found out that as I’m using a head tracker I needed to activate it before pressing FLY in the Sim otherwise if I tried to do it in the cockpit view after pressing FLY it would show weird graphics for a few second and then crash.

I hope you try to get a refund. The way this software is broken is unacceptable. As for “It has been mentioned not to verify Steam files”, what else is he to do? The dang thing fails and he tries stuff to fix it.

Well, and of course sadly for you.
But I can assure you that by and large the sim is just fine. I for one, have never experienced any of the problems you have highlighted.

If then, assuming that your system meets the minimm requirements, the problem must lie at your end. Very frustrating for sure.
I wish I could be of more help.

Some things to try if you want to give it another chance:

  • Remove everything you may have put in the community folder
  • Try to lower your display settings and disable traffic, start from low profile to see if it helps
  • Try to update your display driver to the latest version if you’ve not already done so
  • Try the sim without a virus scanner enabled
  • Try the sim without any CPU/GPU/Memory overclocking

I have couple of issues but I will not go out.
I love A32NX but I can’t even trying fix it.
I have rediscovered C152 again and I have the great pleasure of rediscovering the places that I would like to see live.
Happy flying!

i really don’t understand why there are so much complains about stability, since the last update i had no! issues at all, so no CTD, no problems with AP (i fly sometimes Cessna Skyhawk, and most of the time TBM 930), no issues with lightning in mostly clear sky, weather is always as it is in real world, my feeling is that Asobo did a really good job! This simulator works very well in this early state!

So guys, what’s going on?

It all depends on hardware, settings, mods, internet and many other factors.

Works just fine for me.

it’ more like your system is broken why is it i don’t get ctd’s of anykind and the sim runs just fine for me and a lot of other’s so don’t say it’s broken check your potato. my 10900kf and 6900k runs this sim just fine with a 2080ti i also have a 2640 xeon v4 which i have ran this on with no problem so just maybe it
is on your end.

It’s not in an “early state” this is retail ready code, not some early access Alpha.

Stop with the insults, or I’m going to start issuing warnings and posting bans.

So… validating files through Steam deleted your files once, so… you do it again? There are many threads on this.

Validating files through Steam is a key troubleshooting step for anything installed through that platform. If it breaks the software in this case, then that is an issue between Steam and Asobo/Microsoft, not the end user.

Or more importantly, terrible launcher implementation.

Most common sense I’ve read in this thread thus far

Thanks. There is a huge amount of intelligence in this forum, unfortunately, @blackforce999 doesn’t apply.
