I got the Mooney M20R and the Piper PA44 by Carenado early because I wanted a complex single and twin with steam gauges that worked properly.
The Carenado aircraft are not “study level” by any means. But they are much better executed than the stock aircraft and can be had with steam gauges. They most defiantly serve my purpose as a beginner to - intermediate fligh sim user.
I doubt ill buy again in these categories until the likes of the Piper Aerostar 600 by A2A comes out even through there are now more and possibly nicer/better aircraft in both of these categories.
I got the Aermacchi MB-339 by IndiaFoxtEcho because I specifically wanted a light military trainer vs a full fledged combat aircraft and they where first. This is more of a fun/gaming aircraft for me so I doubt ill buy again in this segment unless something unique comes a long like the Convair F-106 Delta Dart.
It’s fun to fly. I had a great day flying cover over DC when the USA expansion came out with other MB-339 users.
Bombardier CRJ700 by Aerosoft. I go the feeling this was the passenger jet for simmers who didn’t fly many passenger jets and where not invested already into flying a Boeing or Airbus.
I was correct. This seems to have a simpler set of procedures than Boeing or Airbus is easy to fly by hand and is more maneuverable that the bigger jets. But I also feel I’m getting a decent passenger jet experience.
I have close to zero interest in long haul passenger jet flights so this regional jet is perfect for me the guy who flys GA most of the time.
I was super stoked that the Piper Aerostar 600 was going to be A2A’s first aircraft and super bummed when it got bumped down to being 2nd released. The Twin Otter also sounds interesting.
