There is also one unusual and challenging aircraft from well over 100 years ago - the Wing 42 Bleriot. It has no instruments (except the rotary version has a barometer (which is effectively what early altimeters are). It is simple but not that easy to fly - esp the basic versions with the little 25HP engine - hence the challenge. that simplicity (not even elevator trim) also means that the various MSFS updates haven’t really affected it. it is also great for my Track/I/R and therefore should be good for VR headsets.
So I now have that, the Carenado Mooney, Flying Iron Spitfire, Savage Turbo wotsit, Savage cub-clone things and the Optica.
