I cant express how disappointed I am! Spent 4 hours trying to map my joystick. TOTALLY UNUSABLE!
Great Scenery…unfortunately, impossible to use a flight simulator! I have a very Hi-End Game PC and its terrible. If I wanted to look at the scenery, I would us GOOGLE EARTH!

Flat-out wrong and disrespectful to the developers that have spent years working on the sim. There are plenty of people spending hours flying around.
My joystick isn’t supported by default either, and I had to spend a good amount of time mapping buttons… but after that I’ve been flying around and having a great time.
If you have a specific issue then describe it in detail… Saying the entire sim is unuseable because you had to spend time mapping buttons is absurd.

Totally this…
I have the Saitek Heavy Machinery side panel and it’s not supported “out of the box” for MSFS however it is now set up and works great, even all the joystick axis work.
Oh and it took me about 15 minutes to get it set up and then adjusted and changed settings as I flew.

Dont forget there are a lot of people approaching to a flgiht sim for the very first time.
They are not gettiing those 100 fps with high end PCs
They need a refund.

My CH set (Eclipse Yoke, Throttle Quadrant, Pro Pedals) took like 5 min to set up how I wanted with all the buttons etc and they work super nice.
I suspect there’s a lot of trolling and well-poisoning by fanbois of other sims.

Ok we all know there are problems:
Aircraft
Autopilots
Server is to slow to handle demand
Download issues and others issues.
But the short answer it is what it is. (SAD)
Now to make you feel better go load a Bush Flight like the Balkans they selected a Cessna 172 which is not a bad aircraft.
Now enjoy a multiple airport hop and scenery (THAT NO OTHER FLIGHT SIM CAN DELIVER ). Enjoy it for 2 weeks and hopefully some of the problems will have dissapeared. You will enjoy it more then complaining.

Agreeing with comments! Im using a unsupported joystick and throttle with tonsss of buttons and axis’s, it took me a WHOLE 4 mins to map it out! 4 Hours??? not sure what you were trying to set up? My set up is the first 2 photos.: or were you trying to set up something like the last photo 
?
