Since the release and also before MSFS 2024 I went through so many emotions.
First I was so happy that finally the new version is released. I followed all the reports about the new iteration and was looking positive in general.
All from the base sounded so good with the new features, modified engine etc.
The initial download was fast but than the nightmare started. I tried everything but I was not able to get into the game. If I ever have to see the movie during the loading again I will go crazy.
Today I was finally able to get in the game and now the disappointment overwhelming.
First the console like menues, the horrible, horrible controller integration without any deep explanation. No options to take over my controller bindings from 2020.
And who ever took the decision to stream airplanes would be an good idea?
Give at least the option to download the planes.
In general graphics cant match the 2020 version. This is not related to my rig. Im running the sim on an 4090 / 9800x3d combination with 64Gbyte.
For professional simmers this product is not ready at all. 2020 was miles ahead when it was released, and this was also an mess.
The new version really, for me, seems to be just an game.
I`m not sure if this all can be fixed. I will stay at 2020 and hope the support here will last still a few more years.

From what I see in the forums and on YouTube, MSFS2024 is becoming an aeronautics oriented video game rather than a flight simulator.
Also, even if they have drawn the flowers in 3d etc, the graphics seem to have a cartoony effect that overall seems less good than 2020.
Finally, there is the limitation of the Internet connection, not all SIMMERs can have fiber connections, in my area it doesn’t get better than 45/48Mbps.
I cross my fingers that MSFS2020 has a long life, at the moment I have no interest in MSFS2024.
You are right unfortunatelly with the worse graphics.
A lot of aerias look just horrenduos due to some of the “filters” the overlayed with the satellite imagery. It looks awful 
Washed out, odd colours, not believable in general.
Wasn’t any of this picked up in that alpha test?
Such as the poor graphics or is all down to the servers.
When I watched some ALPHA on YouTube I noticed this cartoony effect and/or the light filtered in some way.
When I pointed it out to someone he replied that it was due to the ALPHA version but with the official release it would disappear 
just tried vegas and man i dont want to spill my coffee flying a cessna to the south side of the field
see this mess…i m giving a week the most and then uninstalling…
Also I can’t stand their smiling faces on the top…
Not only that,…There seems to be less detail and definition in the textures generally and especially with the Aircraft. Have a look at the DC 3 for instance.

Streaming is an excellent idea. It will make billions for Microsoft when they go to a monthly fee model. I have bought shares in Microsoft.
