From Tigil (UHPG) to Klyuchi (UKLH)
The Kamchatka Peninsula is crossed by Sredinny Range from northeast to southwest, a second mountain range Vostochny runs southeast to northeast parallel to east coast. Fly followingTigil River, crossing the west valley, the central range and the wide west valley to reach a cluster of amazing volcanos
The Kliuchevskói, partially cover by snow it is the highest in Kamchatka. On september 1994 erupted sending an impressive column of ash and gas. The cluster is completed by Gora Bolshaya and Ostry and Plosky Tolbachik. Land on Klyuchi near Kamchatka River and Kurazhechnoye Lake. Enjoy the beauty of this region included in UNESCO World Heritage Site list as one of most outstanding volcanic regions of the world

From Klyuchi (UKLH) to Petropavlosky-kamchatsky (UHPP)
Will fly southwest following the pacific coast of Kamchatka enjoying the sunrise and the line of volcanos. Around peninsula center fly and circle The Kronotsky volcano set beside Lake Kronotskoyen, its cone symmetry makes it a formal candidate for the most beautiful volcano of the world competition with Mount Fuji.
Karymsky Lake, Ostry, Karymsky Kizimen,Spokoine, all names of a remote and quite world. Landed in a wide valley at Petropavlosky-kamchatsky the administrative center of peninsula.

From Petropavlosky-kamchatsky (UHPP) to Severo Kurilsk water land
Left Petropavlosky leaving behind Koriaksky volcano, Its last eruption was in 1956 and last for six months. Heading west to visit Opala lonely dormant cone. Heading est now towards Khodutka volcano and the Klyuchevoye lake created after the collapse of Ksudach caldera.
We say Goodbye to Kamchatka Peninsula descending by the valley beside of Koshelev, a complex group of four stratovolcanoes, and flying over Kazakova lake.
We Fly the first Kuril strait leaving on the left the first of Kuril island Shumshu a flat piece of land for water landing at second Kuril strait near Severo-Kurilsk at Paramushir Island

From Severo Kurilsk to Simushir island
Kuril island,1300 km belt of volcanoes without airport in between and changing weather.
Depart from Paramushi, second largest of the Kurils and climb over the clouds leaving behind Chikurachki the highest peak, the Atlasov Island and Ebeko peak far in the back.
Heading toward Onekotane, inhabited today, it is formed by two stratovolcanos, Nemo cone 3000 ft high hide by clouds and Krenitsyn with caldera fill with water creating a caldera lake and a curious picture of a mountain within a mountain.
Descend to avoid the thick cloud layer toward Shiashkotan Hardly can see Kuntomintar cone in the southern end of the island.
The weather became worse and only after half an hour of flying under ice conditions, sky cleared near Simushir island. Flew toward Urataman, northernmost of the 6 volcanoes on Simushir crossing an small pass at caldera, water landing surrounded by Impressive caldera walls
From Simushir island to Iturup Island
Depart from Brouton bay the submerged Urataman caldera, time ago bay was a Russian submarine base, following the coast and enjoying the line of volcanoes Prevo, Zavaritsky, Milne, Goriaschaya
Cross Bussol strait with Pacific Ocean at left hand and Okhost Sea on the right reaching Chirpoy an small island created by Vulkan snou and Brat Chirpoyev.
Flew on Urup and its wonderful Ivao group of cones in the southern part of the island. Reaching Iturup Island and due to icing conditions water land at Kasatka Bay a natural port at Iturup center

From Iturup (UHSI) to Kenebetsu (RJCS)
Left Kasatka Bay flying beside a chain of volcanos in the central part of the Island, the highest called Stokap. Left Iturup towards Kunashiri the last of Kuril island, with four volcanoes still active. At the middle of island turn right crossing Nemuro Strait the one separates Kunashiri from Hokkaido Island, it represents the border as well between Japan and Russia.
The easternmost portion of Hokkaido Island is the
Shiretoko Peninsula. This peninsula was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005, in recognition of “The extraordinarily high productivity of the marine and terrestrial component of the property, produced and largely influenced by the formation of seasonal sea ice at the lowest latitude in the northern hemisphere”
Cross the peninsula toward the west island coast, flying over a patchwork of agricultural land where the famous Yuri no sato Lily park is located. Turned south towards Akan National Park with Kussharo Lake of warm waters results of volcanic activity with Naka Island in the middle. A massive volcanic eruption approximately 7,000 years ago shaped Mashu Caldera, which contains Lake Mashu, one of the world’s clearest lakes, turn right for landing surrounded by trees at Kenebetsu airfield .

From Kenebetsu (RJCS) to Chilose(RJCC)
Came back to Akan National Park flying over Akan Lake and Meakan Mountain an active volcano with four cones growing on Lake Akan shores.
Continue heading west until we reach Nukabira Lake famous for “ice bubles” phenomenon during winter from here turned right, ascending parallel to Tokachi Mitsumata Caldera today fully cover by forest. On mountain top turn left for meeting the spectacular landscape of Daisetsu Mountain Range forming the Daisetsuzan National Park.
Descend following Sorachi River until reach Sapporo city and heading south we will arrive at Chitose International landing at 01L
From Chitose (RJCC) to Aomori (RJSA)
Our first fly with the F14 visiting Shikotsu-Toya National Park, two caldera lakes, Shikotsu and Toya are the points of interest. Fly first over Lake Shikotsu with Mount Eniwa at its border hidden by clouds today. Shikotsu is Japan’s second-deepest lake. Lake Toya is a circular caldera measuring 40 kilometers across. At its center is Nakajima Island, formed some 50,000 years ago by closely packed lava domes.
The last point of interest in the park is Mount Yotei, a classic stratovolcano, rises 1,898 meters above sea level, frequently called EZO-Fuji because of its resemblance to Mount Fuji.
Left the park passing close to Mount Niseko Annupuri, the main peak of the Niseko volcanic group, and known as a ski resort. Heading towards the coastline, flew over Uchiura bay and Hokkaidō Koma-ga-take stratovolcano, hardly visible among the clouds, descended following Oshima Peninsula and at the end crossed the Tsugaru Strait, toward Honshu Island.
Both islands, Hokkaido and Honshu, are communicated by Hokkaido Shinkansen, a Japanese high-speed rail line through the Seikan Tunnel running under Tsugaru Strait, it is the world´s longest undersea tunnel.
We start our journey at Honshu Island over to city of Kominato for landing right of center line of Aamori runway, not so bad for the first time with this “beast”.
From Aamori (RJSA) to Sendai (RJST)
From Aamori heading south toward Lake Towada within Towada Hachimantai National Park.The lake area is the biggest caldera lake in Honshu Island. The lake is fed by around seventy rivers, half of which are intermittent, Lake is drained by the Oirase River famous for its autumn leaves and natural scenery. In 1996 Japan’s Ministry of the Environment selected the sound of flowing water at the Oirase River as one of the 100 Soundscapes of Japan.
Turn Left heading east to meet the Pacfic at Hachinohe from here will follow the coastline. A wonderful coast with a great diversity of forms with hidden villages dedicated to fishery. The area was hit by 2011 earthquake and tsunami. For supporting area recovery, the Sanriku Fukko National Park was created.
Arriving at Sendai water landed at Matsushima Bay famous for its constellation of small island with forest.
