What aircraft currently simulate defult real world failures?

Apologies for the weird title, I couldn’t quite find the right words for the title…If anyone could find the right words…:grin: be much appreciated

Would anyone be interested in compiling a list of current aircraft that simulate real world ‘variable’ failures that are outside of deselecting various options in the EFB? The likes of A32nx and selecting various failures etc…

For example,
BN2 has simulated carb icing as a defult feature.
Milviz and Flysimware C310/414 engine over stress features…

I think it could be quite interesting and useful to know what third party and… defult aircraft, which have ‘almost’ defult failures that are simulated.

It could possibly set benchmark for all developers to aim for, when creating ‘high fedality’ aircraft if we promote these features as a important/key feature in purchasing an addon.

In regards to icing…
Is it simulated in the game itself outside of the pitot tubes not showing airspeed if iced… is icing actually simulated in the way that creates drag on the wings or on the engines and potentially ends in a less desirable way?

I don’t have a list… but if you don’t mind people chiming in with a plane or two that they are familiar with I’ll start: Steam Gauge Overhaul King Air from Just Flight / Black Square

Sting S4 (any failure you can think of)
All PMDG planes (tons and tons of failures and wear and tear)
Big Radials Grumman Goose (engine overstress, carb icing, maybe more)
Kodiak (hot starts, engine overstress)
Milviz PC-6 (hot starts, engine overstress)
Boeing 247 (random fuse failures, engine failures from many factors, perhaps too many?)
Free Bonanza G36 improvement mod (spark plug fouling, flooding)
Tiger Moth (overpriming/flooding, plug fouling)
Just Flight Pipers (engine overstress, flooding, vapor lock)

WB-Sim Cessna Steam Gauge 172 Improvement Project, pretty much any failure in the real plane, including engine fouling, oil usage, circuit breakers, engine overheat, etc.

I have experienced the DA62X Improvement Mod simulating real-world failures when not operated correctly. Nice.

  • MilViz Corsair (unique engine detonation, with resulting oil covering your windshield!)
  • Black Box Islander (carb icing, maybe more?)
  • MilViz / Blackbird 310R (lots of stuff, wear and tear)
