What Are These on the Vision Jet?

I was flying the Vision Jet and saw these extensions below the body and wondered what they were. I looked online and saw several photos of Vision Jets, but I didn’t see anything that matched. Does anyone have any idea what they are? Thanks.

I’m flying the FFX Vision Jet in 2020 right now and I don’t see them. If I had to guess, I’d say they are antenna of some kind.

Hi there,

The new G2+ Vision Jet has dual belly-mounted Wi-Fi antennas.

This is what they are

Looks like the antenna for the in-flight wifi option

Go-Go Wi-Fi Antennas. Effective typically around 8,000’ AGL.

I initially thought they were like a structural support related to a parachute landing.

Then I wondered why in the world would one need Wi-Fi on the outside of the plane.

So according to your linked article, they are not Wi-Fi antenna, but cellular antenna.

Correct, the external antennas talk to the LTE network on the ground, and there’s presumably a small interior antenna for the wi-fi network for your iPhones etc.

How about that, I learn something new every day with this hobby. I must have looked at a dozen photos and saw nothing similar, but I obviously wasn’t looking at the G2+ model. Thanks one and all for the responses.

BTW today I put 3 flights on the FFX Vision Jet: 2 in 24 and 1 in 2020 (in-between), all on SimBrief flight plans. During the 2020 trip I got to follow my flight in Navigraph on my iPads; really miss that in 24 but it will probably come around some day. Great model, everything works!
