It is a big turnoff to go fly in a part of the world and find out it is mostly offline.
I’m sorry, I’m not sure I understand your question. Are you trying to fly offline and find that you choose a part of the world and see there are no, or rather, FSX style textures?
Why is the world mostly offline for you? Where? XBox or PC?
Why are you waiting for “updated Bing data”? What does that mean to you?
Do you have data turned off? Do you have photogrammetry turned off? What is your settings setup?
I’m on Xbox, flying online all the time.
I’m just frustrated about the FSX style textures, present in many parts of Asia and South America, as well as the Pacific islands. Those areas are usually covered with clouds in Bing maps which is why they look so ugly in the sim, I was wondering if there are plans to do some work on them.

Sadly, waiting for Bing maps updates, well, I wouldn’t hold your breath. Sorry. Certainly good to voice your opinion, however… Perhaps create a wishlist item asking them to please update those areas. It might already exist.
