I learned how small the world actually is. I learned just how much that flowing water has shaped the earth, and we can say the same for winds and plate tectonics. These are the things I consider from time to time when admiring the beauty of the landscape.
I like the rivers, the lakes, the waterfalls, the glaciers.
It all began one day when I watched a geology lecture by Professor Nick Zentner. He was talking about river rocks being distinct from other rocks, because they become rounded and polished. He talked about finding river rocks atop a mountain plateau.
