A great 1h15m flight from Amarillo, TX (KAMA) to Lake Charles, LA (KLCH). ATC stopped working, or at least I stopped being able to hear ATC about halfway through the flight (I could only hear MY pilot’s radio voice). Also, I was handed off to tower 83 miles out and cleared to land 80 miles out??? Also, I notice I’m not receiving a landing credit on the logbook screen, though it’s logging the hours at least. Hmmm. But on balance a great flight and some stunning sunset visuals. Welcome to Lake Charles! YT video link of approach and landing:
Flew from Ostend EBOS to Stansted EGSS in the D62X, my first flight since SU6 and using the latest Nxi. No problems bar the elevator trim decided to reset to nose down at take off. The Nxi was gorgeous but a surprising lack of traffic at Stansted. A night flight so a mass of red lights where there is a vast wind farm. Lights over land looked good too.
Can anybody tell me how ro use the flashlight when starting D&C?
You can search for the flashlight in the keyboard bindings. From memory it’s the L key with a modifier. Something like Shift+Ctrl+L I think.
Left ALT + L
Thx. I wondered if you could focus the flash on the light switches.
It’s a head torch, so it will focus wherever you look.
I’ll try that next time I am starting up. Thx.
Flew the SR22 from YMHB to YSSY. Just under 4 hours. Luckily performance issues over long flights don’t affect me in the SR22 (they do in airliners/regional airliners for the most part, I’d assume it’s because they are a lot larger).
I’ve been having similar ATC behavior. I’ll hear the tower/etc. at startup but shortly after takeoff, all I hear is my replies.
CTD about a dozen times after SU6. :-
Takeoff from ENML, Årø (or ENAL, Vigra) turn south, and do some nice low-flying in the Norwegian alps and fjords. Neverending peaks and narrow fjords makes a lot of fun
Cheeky visit of La Palma volcano in the Canary Islands for sightseeing and looking at areas affted by the lava and where the lava might go next. It’s gotten to the point now where the sulphur dioxide emmisions are quite likely to lower global temperatures for a few years. The sulphur dioxide cloud has reached India and the Caribbean so far, a lot of the sunlight hitting the Sahara is starting to be reflected back to space also.

i am sure grumman designed the F14 to be photographed, find a bad angle
Flew Detroit Orlando in the Default 787 and made it safely
Man these clouds look terrible:
It was pretty slick, I was watching the tops dissolve into nothingness…
A pleasant 40 minute flight (took longer than I expected) from Lake Charles, LA (KLCH) to Jackson, MS (KJAN). NO CTD. So far, SU6 remains stable in that department at least. Still some anomalies though - ITT master caution alarm goes off too often, even when indicator nowhere near red zone. Also, no apparent way to acknowledge master cautions/alarms with the amber and red buttons above the PFD. Also, AI ATC cancelled IFR for no clear reason. Also, logbook not reflecting the landing, but is reflecting the flight. All that said, it’s good to be flying again.
Along with practically everyone else who has purchased Just Flight’s Hawk, I flew the Mach Loop today (although this shot was from yesterday)…
I also did some engine out practice…
Where is Mac loop?
