What did you do in MSFS today? (Part 2)

Flew from KGUS to KBDL in the longitude.

Back in the Turbo Arrow III with a flight from Ibiza to Alicante, 100 nm or a little bit under an hour of flying.

I planned to fly up to 5000 ft for the most favorable wind conditions, according to Windy. And it matched pretty well with the in-game wind at that altitude.

16 kts instead of the 15 kts from windy, and little to no cross wind. Very nice.

This all on my trip around southern Europe, which started (in the Turbo Arrow at least) at Mount Etna. I’m on my way to Tenerife (still a while to go).

Mainland Spain in sight:

Already arrived

Get off the road! Seriously, what are they doing! Do they not see me?

I guess they really liked my landing and helping them get that big plane off the runway quicker so they want to thank me:

Next flight, maybe slightly more in-land for a change.

Just got my second aircraft on FSEconomy, for my fly around the world adventure in MSFS20 while making virtual money with FSEconomy at the same time. Currently in PHNL > Honolulu, Hawaï

Next few days is a multi-stop flight to join up with my Kodiak 100 somewhere in Australia.

Have a great day everyone!

Good to see the Kuro 788 works off the system of the 78X. Good flight, but I still cannot get the GS to catch. Plane is easy enough to hand fly in, but defeats the purpose of the ILS. Funny thing is that I cut the AP, but it showed no indication that I’d gone to manual.

Budapest Liszt Ferenc International (LHBP) to Split Kastela (LDSP) in the Longitude:

There was no ATC online and very little traffic, but the flight was still very enjoyable. I was really surprised when I managed to exit the runway at A.

Video here a lot later:

After completing a multi-day trip following the Nile river from South to North in the VL3 it was nice to get back into a bizjet for a flight from Tampa (KTPA) to Miami (KMIA).

Took the Rans S6S to Bugalaga, then did a takeoff and another landing because it’s fun!

We’re landing where?

Beautiful Papua New Guinea. It’s funny how landing at Bugalaga in FS is just something one does, but IRL I bet everyone has to change their shorts upon arrival.

British Columbia and Alaska are my favourite places to be on this planet, however, flying there in MSFS is as much of pain and I hardly ever venture there. Please do something about the ground textures and photogrammetry there. Thank you.

The following photos are around Dawson City, which has a superb Star Airport! But only strictly the actual area of Dawson City is somewhat acceptable. This flight was from Alaska to Dawson City. But the 90-minute flight was such an eyesore that I didn’t take any pictures and took a sigh of relief when I finally landed at Dawson City Star Airport.

Below is a low-detailed Alaska:

Hello,

after the small riddle from post #3646 is here the solution. Of course, I think a lot of you guessed right but let me show you some pictures to clarify it.

The plane is the Big Radials Grumman Goose with the beautiful Air Catalina livery from @pby5a and the grey interieur by @JayDee6281:

Parked in a nice hangar at…

Orbx’s Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (KSBA):

I’m now familiar with the cockpit in VR and my panels found a place without disturbing the view:

Note: All pictures come directly from the VR-Headset. They are only trimmed but no post processing is added. Sometimes the edges look a bit blurry, that’s because of the Fixed Foveated Rendering option of the OpenXR Toolkit and isn’t visible in the headset.

I’m not a real pilot and all my knowledge I learned by myself, but I try my best to follow all real procedures as good as possible. So, if you have tips or found some errors in my flights or procedures please let me know so I can get better.
