Norfolk down to Hiltonhead Island International Airport in the Saab 340B, I think that Hilton head is my safest option in live weather flying because of the storm forecast

Checking out more new aircraft in 2024:

The Aero Vodochody over Indonesian Islands:

The Cessna C408 SkyCourier, flying past Mt Egmont;

and ballooning over Miami:

End of the flight on Fisher Island. Missed my landing spot on the golf course by a few hundred feet, but at least I did not land in the sea!

It’s amazing what one can do in a single day!

I finally have my system running at 40 FPS on TAA and decided to go sightseeing to the Valley of the Loire and visit Chateau Cheneaunceaux.

What did I do in MSFS (2024) today? I’ve updated the price (and dozen of other things) on my Agua Dulce L70 scenery. Should be ok for MSFS2024 later today (CET).

Flew the Westland Scout from Tortola to Anegada for a lobster lunch at Potter’s Bar.

The rotor wash on the water looked fantastic.

The fact that the heli bobbed around on the beach like it was floating on the waves, especially so once powered off, was much less fantastic.

Found ag spraying in free flight no career grind needed! Oh yeah, let’s go!

H125 spraying trees in Italy. This flies nicely. No missions but invent your own. Will look for something better to spray next time.

Makes for an interesting takeoff and landing with those long spray arms sticking out, better keep the heli flat.

Now I just need to find bush fires.

I tried installing and running FSX, (to get the Rod Machado flying lessons), and I took off from Vnukovo airport outside of Moscow Russia, (FSX doesn’t have Ostafyavo), just to see what’s what, and I immediately got lost.

There’s just NO recognizable scenery - not even the MCAD ring-road which has been there forever.  For all the scenery I could see, I might have been flying over the steppes of Siberia - flat, green, trees, but not much else.  And this was supposed to be MOSCOW - like flying over NYC and finding nothing but campfires. :man_facepalming:

I hopped back into FS2020 and flew out of Ostafyavo, just to reassure myself that the scenery was still there.  I can’t believe I got so spoiled so quickly by MSFS 2020.  In MSFS 2020 I can fly visually (in daylight) because many of the local landmarks are there and I can recognize things.

Note to everyone fussing about this thing is broken or that thing is missing:
Go fly FSX or Century of Flight.  Then talk about your problems with FS2020.

Here is what we call the Canadair in France, going in for a drink at Villefranche sur Mer.

They actually do this, drop through the Col de Villefranche and drop into the Bay (Rade) of Villefranche… Cap St. Jean Ferrat is the green at the edge of the bay.

After playing around with a few other aircraft I went back to my first MSFS 2024 love - the Condor. It’s just a perfect after-work aircraft! After cruising through Portugal and Spain yesterday, I tweaked my graphics settings a bit (pushed both Level of Detail sliders up to 125 while leaving the rest of the options at the “high-end” preset levels). Then I crossed over to Morocco and continued southeast towards Taza (GMFZ).
