From: Ohio State University Airport
To… Well, that’s where it gets interesting
Flight 1 of 2
I set out on my flight from Ohio State University Airport, at first I was going to fly to Ronald Reagan Airport, but I thought it would be further than I thought it would be, so I decided on a shorter flight, the shorter flight was to Arnold Palmer Regional Airport. The flight started off like any other, everything was going good, but then mother nature decided to give a call, so I naturally went to answer it. When I came back, my way point was no longer visible. I did the free cam and did a circle around my plane and I couldn’t find any sign of it.
This made me wonder if I should be flying today, so I thought I would start the flight over (more below picture)
This time I did set up to fly to Ronald Reagan Airport, it wasn’t as far as I thought. The flight went well. I never lost track of my waypoint, I shall wait until tomorrow before doing a tour of Washington.
Had a mind-numbingly painful flight in MSFS 2024 today. La Guardia is still completely messed up for me, floating jetways and non-existent buildings. Bridges looking all out of wack. Frame drops to 5fps. I ALT-F4’d this flight
Decided to do the tour of Washington, DC. Didn’t do live weather or live time like I normally do.
As you can see from the images below, sometimes the skins of buildings didn’t show up, such as the White House, after I snapped the pic the skin loaded and forgive me for not knowing what the building is called, but I’m sure you’ll know the one I’m talking about by the picture below.
Got the helicopter PPL in 2024 and did my first passenger flight in the Cabri G2 today. It’s actually a great little helicopter one you got it trimmed.
I rhink the coolest part of the introductory passenger flight in the Cabri is getting to fly to 6N5. 6N5 is special for me because it’s the heliport that is right along the east river in New York city, right next to the FDR drive. I drive by it every day and it’s very cool seeing the helicopters landing and taking off there.
As for the Cabri itself, highly suggest using both longitudinal and lateral trims to cancel out the forces. I use my normal pitch trim buttons for longitudinal, and I’m using left and right on a hat switch on my joystick to counteract the slight side to side movement.
I actually kind of like this little helicopter. Hopefully they can get the H125 trims working then we can enjoy that cool chopper, too.
Oh, and one thing I forgot to originally put, the initial takeoff was very choppy. Not sure if it’s my ISP or the game itself, as my area and where my ISP is from got hit with a bit of a storm lately.
Short flight but liked the idea of a tour around the big apple, first I must get there. Things were going well, and I began my descent, then the doorbell rang. I thought this was going to be just a short conversation, so I wasn’t worried about my plane starting its descent as it was close to Kennedy Airport
Well, I guesstimated wrong… Later today I’ll do the tour
I just realized I had this funky little jet in my library and decided to try it out. This thing is great! The weather above Northern Germany was quite scenic, too.
