What do we still want to see as Historic planes?

That is assuming that they can sustain operating the A380 at full capacity to achieve the economies of scale. There’s probably a reason why other airliners are dropping their orders of A380s in favour of the A330-900 or the A350.

It’s not about returning to fly them. A lot of the A380s are still young and they can continue to be operated for decades. It’s about orders of new A380s. And Airbus already made an official statement that they are closing down the factory as soon as they complete the remaining orders that they’ve committed to. Once those are fully delivered. That would be the last A380 in existence. And once they’re past their operating life in 20-30 years time… There would be no more.
